When will my fear end from the EX-Narcissist?

When will my fear end from the EX Narc? I want my old self back

One question I answered that might help someone experiencing the same.

“I congratulate you for sticking it out and for battling whatever it is you had to battle.

I sympathize with the fact you have to still look over your shoulders. It’s not easy. But with time, I believe you will be more confident. Keep doing what you are doing. Keep conquering fears. Keep protecting yourself. Keep showing yourself love.

Fear is a state we allow ourselves to live in. You might be surprised if you shift your outlook and dust off the dirt on your inner strength and wisdom. You are actually capable of so much more than you are giving yourself credit for. In fact, you are handing your power over to that or whom has you scared. You are feeding the energy of helplessness as long as you are claiming you are fearful. Fear is a choice. You can always ‘unchoose’ it and choose empowerment instead. When you shift your vibration and energy, fear will have no room to reside where resilience and courage do.

Being a survivor of A Narc myself. I believe that it’s natural to make statements as “I want my old self back”. I have made those statements too. Then I realized. I don’t really want ALL of my old self back. Because part of my old self had old traumas that never healed and it got me into the toxic relationship or a pattern of them that got me to my breaking point. So no, I don’t want my old self back.

I changed the statement into:

“I want a new and improved version of myself. I want the core of who I am to resurface. And I want the wiser, stronger, healed version of me to emerge. I give myself permission to evolve. I allow myself to transform. I allow myself to turn my tragedies into valuable lessons that will change the direction of my life. I welcome the new version of me.”

Hope this helps you. Blessings.
